Experience

I have been tutoring since age 18. I started while I was in college. I have successfully tutored students to pass the math portions of the SAT, ACT, PSAT and the ISTEP. I have successfully tutored students to pass the Algebra I EOC assessment for graduation. I have successfully tutored students to pass the COMPASS test, the ACCUPLACER test, and the GED test. I love to tutor because it is individual and personal. I like to see the "light bulb" come on! I have taught for 28 years and I still love it. I started tutoring before school for athletes who couldn't stay after school and I stayed and tutored after school as well and it was FREE.

I love to draw. I love to listen to music--oldies from the 50s and 60s mostly. I love to go watch my husband play bass in his band. I love to camp and go fishing, but I don't eat seafood! I love sports! I used to coach: volleyball, basketball, softball, track, and junior high cheerleading. I have played softball, basketball, and volleyball. I ran track in high school. I love to play wallyball and racquetball. Oh, and I love to play competitive badminton and air hockey. I love to watch COLLEGE basketball and PROFESSIONAL football. I love to do artsy fartsy kinds of stuff. My husband and I used to make all of our Christmas gifts.
